James "Jim" E. Simon, 47, of Campobello, SC, went home to his Lord on May 4, 2011. Born August 3, 1963, in Uniontown, PA, he is survived by his wife Mary Smalley Simon, daughter Stephanie, and son Jacob; a brother Joseph Simon of Casper, WY; and his father, Joseph Simon of Uniontown, PA. He was predeceased by his mother, Beverly Lynn Simon. Mr. Simon had a distinguished career as an electrical engineer in product development for General Motors and, more recently, operated his own business, JMS Development, which enabled him to devote more time to his family and to lead facility developments at Oakbrook Preparatory School and Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Moreover, he was a faithful man of God who served as Deacon of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Visitation will be 2:00-3:30 PM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 PM in the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. D. J. Horton.
