James Pangel

James Arnold Pangel, 81, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on May 11, 2014. Born July 4, 1932 in Meadeville, PA, he was the son of the late James Lester Pangel and Julia Marshall Weirs. Mr. Pangel was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church and was a painting contractor. Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Elaine Pearl Potter Pangel; sons, James E. Pangel and Kenneth W. Pangel both of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Angie Younker of Columbus, OH, Valerie Luptak of Pickerington, OH, James Kipe of Tucson, AZ, Mark H. Pangel, Melinda Carver and Mellonee R. Carithers all of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Northbrook Baptist Church, 1881 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Pangel and the Rev. Benny Green, Jr. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Highway 9, Boiling Springs, SC 39316. Memorials may be made to Four Points Church, 2355 Highway 101 South, Greer, SC 29651.
