James Mcguffin

James Frank McGuffin, 100, of Roebuck, SC, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 27, 1918, in Roebuck, he was the son of the late Gus Andrew McGuffin and Ella Victoria Whitman McGuffin and husband of the late Janie Allan McGuffin. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. McGuffin was a member of Roebuck VFW Post #9539, a lifelong member of Roebuck Baptist Church, as well as a graduate of Roebuck High School and Robinson Business College. He retired from Rockwell International Draper Division after 45 years of service and was the recipient of Spartanburg USBC Hall of Fame. He enjoyed bowling for over 80 years and recently played at Paradise Lanes. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
