James Mcclain

James Ross "Jim" McClain, 65, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home. Born March 7, 1952 in Carteret County, NC, he was the son of the late Richard Marvin and Betsy Ross Tingley McClain. He was the widower of Mary John "Johnnie" Gray McClain. Jim received a Bachelor's Degree from North Carolina State University. He was retired from Terminix Pest Control. Survivors include a daughter, Samantha Angrisanio (Robert) of Wellford, SC; granddaughter, Hannah Helms; grandsons, Matthew Helms and Taylor Helms; and sister, Lutie McClain Rayhart (Tom) of Annapolis, MD. Private family services will be conducted at a later date. The family requests memorials, in Jim's honor, be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC.
