James "Jim" Roger Langston, 79, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, August 28, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 25, 1937, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Thomas M. Langston Sr. and Janie Sherbert Langston. A U. S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Langston retired from the Spartanburg County Building Code Office and was a member of the Electricians' Union. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his sister, Kay Langston Wood (Paul) of Inman, SC; brother, Don Langston (Nadine) of Clermont, FL; children, Judy and Terry; devoted companion, Stella Eller and her daughter, Athena; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family offers their sincerest thanks to Jack Foster who compassionately cared for Jim for more than two years. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2017, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev.
