James Kerr

James Franklin Kerr, 75, of Pacolet, SC, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his home. Born March 27, 1939, in Benton, AR, he was the son of the late Charles Lofton Kerr, Sr. and Florence Lee Rowland Kerr, and husband of the late Carrie Eloise Wells Kerr. Mr. Kerr was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the Army National Guard and was retired from AME Construction Company. Survivors include his son, Howard Kerr of Buffalo, SC; daughters, Lynn Kerr, Lori Blanton, and Joy Fleming, all of Pacolet, SC; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister and a brother. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372, by the Rev. Stephen Owens. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family is at the home.
