James Madison Justice, 79, of Spartanburg, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. A native of Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Sam and Dessie Phillips Justice.
A US Army veteran Mr. Justice served in the Vietnam War. James retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a conductor after 37 years of service. He was a member of Crossway Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Henson Justice, his daughter, Tammy Kelcy (John) of Spartanburg, SC, his son, Dell Justice (Rachel) of Panama City, FL, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Also surviving a stepson, Glenn Ravan (Sarah), three step-grandchildren of Clovis, NM, his sisters, Mattie Hood of Spartanburg, SC and Peggy Fletcher of Rutherfordton, NC. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Carolyn Snyder Justice, a son, Kenneth W. Messick, a sister, Nell Edwards and a brother, Pete Justice.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dell Justice.
The family will be at their respective homes
