James Harrold Sr.

James Harvey Harrold, Sr. left his earthly home and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Born July 7, 1927 in Pacolet Mills, he was the son of the late James William and Marion Mabry Harrold. James Harvey was a veteran of the US Navy, and a graduate from Clemson College. He was employed by The Milliken Company for over forty years and enjoyed playing golf with the men's groups at Three Pines and The Creek Golf Clubs. James was a loved Sunday school teacher for over 50 years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for the last 20 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Jean Jeffords Harrold. He is survived by his four children, Harvey Harrold (Elaine) of Simpsonville SC, Iris Sutton of Spartanburg SC, Robert Harrold of Inman SC, and Ann Block (Todd) of Penguilly, MN. James, (who was known as Pa), was blessed with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 10:00 -10:45 AM, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307 followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be directly after funeral service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
