James Hamrick, Jr

James Bishop Hamrick, Jr., 61, of Cowpens, SC, died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 21, 1957 in Spartanburg, SC, was the son of James Bishop Hamrick, Sr. and the late Dorothy Elizabeth Wood. James was a shop foreman with Piedmont Mechanical. He was a member of Great Vision Church of God, a Mason, and a Shriner. Survivors include his dad, James Bishop Hamrick Sr. (Betty) of Pauline, SC; a sister, Elaine Shepherd, of Spartanburg, SC; three sons, James Kyle Hamrick, Sr. (Alexis) of Moore, SC, Matthew Blake Sellers (Blayke) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Joshua Bishop Hamrick of Boiling Springs, SC; five grandchildren, Abbie, Aiden, Wyatt, KJ, and Raegan; a brother, Mark Hamrick of Spartanburg, SC; and a step-sister, Malissa Guy of Moore, SC. A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2018 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306, conducted by The Rev. Steven Moore.
