James Hall, Jr.

June 21, 1931 — January 29, 2013

James Arthur Hall (Jr.), 81, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 21, 1931, in Sneedville, TN, he was the son of the late James Arthur Hall Sr. and Mollie Virginia Hart Hall. A U. S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Hall also attended USC-Columbia. He was the owner of Norwalk Demolition and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hall lived for his family members, loved them all dearly, and sacrificed having his own family to focus his love and attention on those who survive him: nieces, Jodi Bennett of the home, Shirley Whiteside of Chesnee, SC, Caroline Hall, Shannon Lassiter, and Kim Tillotson, all of Spartanburg, SC, and Dana Miller of Rock Hill, SC; nephews, Rocky Bennett and Jason Whiteside, both of Spartanburg, SC; great-nieces, Tammie Whiteside, Ashley Powell, Terrie Martin, and Michelle Smith, all of Spartanburg, SC; and great-nephew, Michael Powell of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by sisters, Charlotte Hood and Virginia Bennett; brother, Garvin Hall; nieces, Kim Hall and Deana Whiteside; and great-nephew, Joseph Hall. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles Lea Center, 195 Burdette Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at their respective homes.
