James Groce

James Henry "Waddy" Groce, 76, of 430 Gibson Road, Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2014. He was the husband of Ann Groce and the son of the late James Henry Groce and O'Dell Lee. Mr. Groce was retired from the Kohler Company and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a granddaughter, Anna Marie Groce of the home; daughter and son-in-law, April and James Smith; grandson, Brandon Smith, all of Spartanburg; daughter, Theresa Reynolds and two grandchildren of Pauline; brother and sister, Charles Lee and Gail Lee, both of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2015, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374, by the Rev. Dr. Greg Butler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted. The family will be at his daughter April's home.
