James Gosnell

James Brickly Gosnell, 63, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at his home. Born December 17, 1948, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Virginia Blackwell Gosnell of Spartanburg, SC, and the late James "Jim" Gosnell. Brick retired from banking after 34 years of service, most recently from Arthur State Bank. He was a graduate of Limestone College, member of Southside Baptist Church, a Mason, member of Spartanburg Kiwanis Club, and enjoyed boating, music, and sports. In addition to his mother, survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years, Lynn Sawyer Gosnell; sons, Jason B. Gosnell and wife Kelli, and Patrick R. Gosnell, all of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Neil Gosnell and wife Debbie of Spartanburg, SC; mother-in-law, Doris Sawyer of Spartanburg, SC; and special nephew, Kevin Seay, who always brought a smile and laughter to Brick's face. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Danny Garrett and Pastor Scott Linnerud. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
