James Gerber

James Robert Gerber, 61, of Moore, SC, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at his home. Born June 14, 1952, in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late William Lawrence and Mary Sarah Cantwell Gerber. A graduate of Michigan State University "Spartans", Mr. Gerber was a member of the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, and employed as the golf course superintendent at River Falls Plantation. Surviving are his sisters, Mary Reed, Cindy Denhard, and Gail Moon (James); brother, Greg Gerber (Tammy); many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends; and his beloved dog, Mulligan. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:30 PM Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301, by the Rev. Ted Kalaw.
