James Gardner

James Fuller Gardner, 81, of Inman, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Rosecrest-Inman. Born February 25, 1932, in Florence, SC, he was the son of the late George and Myrtle Rose Gardner. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Gardner was retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was an avid fisherman who loved hiking and photography. Surviving is the mother of his children, Carolyn Austin Gardner of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Stacy Campbell (Todd) of Boiling Springs, SC; sons, James "Jay" Gardner Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, Daniel Gardner (Ligaya) of San Diego, CA, and Steven Gardner (Joel) of San Francisco, CA; and grandchildren, Taylor and Jana Campbell. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Maney. A graveside service with military rites by The Veteran's Honor Guard will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2013, in Florence National Cemetery.
