James Fincher

James "Jim" Eugene Fincher, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 25, 1933, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Eugene Otto and Cecil Jeanette Stuart Fincher, and husband of the late Annie Grace Eledge Fincher. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Fincher was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a Scottish Rite Mason. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah F. Brown of the home; son, Timothy J. Fincher of Wellford, SC; and granddaughter, Amy J. Brown of Hendersonville, NC. In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by a son, Donnie Howard Fincher; and brother, Howard Fincher. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service, with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team, will follow at 3:00 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
