James Daniels

James Oliver "Jimmy" Daniels, 61, of 3809 Glenn Springs Road, Spartanburg, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 25, 1950, in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Oliver Leroy and Willeen Webb Daniels. He was co-owner of Alternator Exchange and Sandy Springs Electric; a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple, the Hillbilly Clan, and Trough Shoals Masonic Lodge #228; and a member of Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his devoted wife of 42 years, Linda Cherry Daniels; a daughter, Nichole Daniels Harvey (Dale) of Fountain Inn, SC; two sons, Jamie Daniels (Stephanie) and Matthew Daniels (Brandi), all of Glenn Springs, SC; grandchildren, Katelyn, Alan, Dylan, Cole, Blake, Graycie, and Landon; four sisters, Betty and Delia Daniels of Spartanburg, Patty Elm (Earl) of Greer, and Dottie Pack (Fred) of Spartanburg; a brother, Leroy Daniels (Dianne) of Spartanburg; and a brother-in-law, Ed Hunt of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Hunt, and a brother-in-law, Buck Stone. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. B. E. Pettit. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 279, Pauline, SC 29374. The family is at the home.
