James Cox, Jr.

James L. Cox, Jr., 88, of Cowpens, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at his home. Born July 23, 1923, in Inman, he was the son of the late James L. Cox, Sr. and Molly Huggins Cox. He was retired from Phillip's Fibers as a supervisor. Survivors include his loving wife, Emma J. Cox; sons, Richard Cox (Libby) of Pauline and Jeff Cox of Cowpens; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Dorothy Workman of Mill Springs, NC. He was predeceased by his daughter, Joyce Heatherly; and sons, Roger and Randy Cox. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2011, in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Allen Dean Blanton. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
