James Brackins

James Dennis "Bill" Brackins, 74, of Pacolet, died Friday, August 2, 2013, at his home. Born September 11, 1938, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late William Kelly and Evelyn Revels Brackins. He was retired from Milliken after 45 years of service and was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley Brackins; one son, Dennis Wayne Brackins; a daughter-in-law, Melanie Harvey Brackins; a loving grandson, James Kelley Brackins; a brother, Thomas Brackins; and a sister, Agnes Blackwell. All reside in Pacolet. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2013, at Pacolet First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Blackwell, Ray Rochester, Harry Worthy, Jerry Gibson, Shannon Gault, and Dale Worthy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pacolet First Baptist Church Maintenance Fund, 310 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372. The family is at the home.
