James Banks

James Richard Banks, 71, a son of the late Andrew "Mose" Banks and Grace Parker Banks passed away at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. A native of Spartanburg County, Mr. Banks retired from Milliken Cedar Hill Plant. He also served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Korea. Surviving are his sister, Hazel Banks of the home; niece and nephew, Marie Lawter (Greg) and James Banks (Shena); great-nieces and nephews, Joseph Lawter, Aerial Banks, and Ashton Banks. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary Frances Garrett. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Hammett Grove Baptist Church, 635 Hammett Grove Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307, the Rev. Clifford Phillips will officiate.
