James Ballenger, Iii

James Henry Ballenger III, 48, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born February 22, 1968, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Mary Kate Davis of Spartanburg and the late James Henry Ballenger II. Mr. Ballenger was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church and formerly employed with Community Cash and Ingles. In addition to his mother, he is survived by several aunts and uncles, including Harold Davis (Virginia), James Davis (Nell), and Louise Gwinn (Wayne) and many cousins that loved him very much. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Davis Ballenger; and grandparents, Harold Davis (Leila) and James Ballenger (Olivia). A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303, by the Rev. David Slatton. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Arcadia First Baptist Church, 241 Spring Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family is at their respective homes.
