The Lord came for Jackson L. Robinson, 84, of Spartanburg, on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. A native of Clifton, SC, he was born on September 11, 1928, the son of the late Richmond Pearson and Hattie Croxdale Robinson. Mr. Robinson retired from Spartanburg Water System. He was a member of Clifton Presbyterian Church where he held numerous offices until the church was dissolved. He then joined the Horton Memorial Wesleyan Church where he was a member and held many offices including caretaker, teacher, superintendent of Sunday School, and many others. Surviving are his wife, Madeline Revels Robinson; daughter, Kaye Lawson and husband Joe of Spartanburg, SC; son-in-law, Mike Scoggin of Pauline, SC; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Scoggin. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Wilbur A. Key.
