Jackie Parris

Jackie Gay Mullins Parris, 76, of Clinton, SC, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at the Presbyterian Community of SC. Born June 10, 1940, in Elkhorn City, KY, she was the daughter of Maxine Looney Mul-lins of Moore, SC and the late John Paris Mullins. She was the widow of Gerald "Jerry" Carlisle Parris. A graduate of Cecil's Business College, Mrs. Parris was formerly employed with Cudd & Coan Insurance. She was also a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she volunteered in the Soup Kitchen and was very thoughtful and engaged in a card ministry for the sick and bereaved. In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughter, the Rev. Dr. Jeri Parris Perkins (Phil) of Clinton, SC; granddaughters, Kelley Perkins Brown (Trey), Catherine Carlisle Perkins, and Jennifer "Jenn" Paden Stanley (Taylor); great-granddaughters, Jeri Katherine "Katie" Brown and Carly Elizabeth Brown of Aiken, SC; brother, John Patrick Mullins of Moore, SC; sister, Shirley Jill Seay of Virginia Beach, VA; nieces and nephews, Windy Jill Crutchfield (Keith), John Patrick Mullins (Corrine), and Marvin "Geno" Seay, Jr. and several great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Robert Brozina. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
