Jack Moeller, 81, a resident of Spartanburg, SC went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 4, 2022, peacefully at Upstate Community Hospice House. Born June 10, 1941, in Covington, KY, the son of the late William and Dorothy Moeller.
Jack, a devout and dedicated Catholic man of faith, was raised in Kentucky where he graduated from Villa Madonna College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He spent his career as a Corporate Financial Executive. He also volunteered his time by serving as a board member for several civic organizations, including HALTER, The Children’s Security Blanket, and Carol’s Hope for Childhood Cancer. Known as “Popie” to all, his greatest joys were watching Duke basketball and being “Popie” to his five grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Moeller; daughter, Paulette Moeller Calloway; son, J.C. Moeller; and grandchildren, Hannah and Spencer Calloway, Jack Austin, Wyatt, and Stella Moeller; siblings, Roger Moeller (Mary) and Douglas Moeller (Beverly).
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 161 North Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by The Rev. David R. Whitman.
