Jack Thomas

Jack Leon Thomas, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 3, 2013, at his residence. A native of Spindale, NC, he was the son of the late Lloyd Hudson and Nathalie Lawson Thomas and husband of the late Marjorie Holland Thomas. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffery L. Thomas; grandson, Christopher T. Rice; a sister; and eight brothers. He was a marketing executive with Rockwell Draper with 35 years of service, and was also the vice-president of Marketing with Tru-Tech, Inc. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Gayle T. Butler and Sandra T. Metger; sister, Zanita F. Thomas; six grandchildren, Trip, Jennifer, Brett, Katie, Ricky, and James; four great-grandchildren; special friend, Yvonne Lindsay; and loyal canine companion, Ouzo. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by David Lloyd Thomas.
