Jack Knight, Sr.

Jack Knight, Sr., 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 17, 1923 in Pickens, SC and reared in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Vera Cantrell Knight and husband of Ellene Owenby Knight after 55 years. Mr. Knight was retired from Arkwright Mill. He was a member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg, and a member of the Men of God Sunday School Class. Surviving are grandchildren, Beverly Cox, Casey Knight, and Christy Trivelle all of Spartanburg, and Robbie Knight of Campobello; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Rhodes of Woodruff; and Leo Knight of Woodruff. He was predeceased by two sons, Bobby Knight and Jack Knight, Jr; grandson, Brenton Knight; and brothers, Victor Knight, DeWayne Knight, Dwight Knight, and Harry W. Knight, Jr. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
