Jack Cabiness

Jack H. Cabiness, 83, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 11, 1929, in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late James Edgar and Lilly May Grigg Cabiness. A retired U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, Mr. Cabiness was formerly employed with Metropolitan Life Insurance. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a lifetime deacon. Survivors include his children, Deborah Hutchinson of Greenville, SC, Donald Cabiness (Elaine) of Inman, SC, and Ronald Cabiness (Hope) of Roebuck, SC; and grandchildren, Kimberly Lois Cabiness and Adrian Jack Cabiness. He was predeceased by his wife, Rena Sula Mills Cabiness; four brothers; and three sisters. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, May 3, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Monty King.
