Jack Brewington

Jack Brewington, 73, of 1310 Sandy Springs Road, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born August 8, 1936, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Luther and Lilly Mae Pressley Brewington. He was employed in the scrap metal business. Survivors include his wife, Nina Dula Brewington; three sons, Larry Dean Brewington and Jessica of Inman, Jack Brewington and wife Terre of Forest City, NC, and David Lee Brewington of Green Creek, NC; four daughters, Linda Kay Day, and Jackie Hudgins and husband James, all of Inman, Karen Brewington of Myrtle Beach, and Crystal Hendrix and husband Rich of Spartanburg; two brothers, LeRoy Brewington and Isaac Brewington, both of Spartanburg; two sisters, Sis Thomas of Concord, NC, and Catherine of Texas; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Brewington; and two sisters, April Morgan and Sandra Wilson. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, in Sunset Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash. The family is at the home of his daughter, Jackie Hudgins, 44 Palmetto Drive, Inman, SC 29349.
