James LeRoy Wilson, 86, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 ,at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 11, 1923, in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late James and Viola Wilson. A retired pharmacist of Craft's Drug Store, he was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where he was a member of the Royal Sunday School class and head usher. He was a graduate of Woodruff High School, MUSC College of Pharmacy, an MUSC Alumni, and a Mason. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Massey Wilson; a son, the Rev. Dr. Terry L. Wilson and wife Jeslyn of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Roe and her husband John, Alise Nettles and her husband Richard, Bonnie Watson and her husband David, Ty Wilson, and Neely Wilson; six great grandchildren, Kate Roe, Asher Roe, Anna Roe, Grady Nettles, Troy Watson, and Jeslyn Watson; and a sister, Ruth Casey of Enoree. Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, in the Welcome Center of Morningside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Burial with military rites will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
