Iva Shea

Iva Jean Roland Shea, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 27, 1934, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Wilford Lee Roland and Nellie Mae Candler Roland and widow of Joseph N. Shea. A 1956 graduate of Greenville Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Mrs. Shea was a registered nurse having worked at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where she was one of the original "Ask-a-Nurse" on call nurses. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Cassandra Shea Shaw (Steven) of Asheville, NC; son, Tim Shea (Becky) of Rocky Mount, NC; and four grandchildren, Courtney, Hannah, Zachary, and Amelia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother and sister. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Neal Y. Woods. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
