Iva Puckett

Iva Jean Steading Puckett "Nanny", 83, passed away Monday, May 06, 2013, at her home. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Myrtle Bagwell Steading. Her stepmother was the late Eva Steading. She was the widow of T.F. Puckett Sr. A member of Green Street Baptist Church, she was known to her friends as "Miss Iva". She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas F. Puckett Jr. and Pam McAbee Puckett; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Puckett Foster and Lesley Hoyle Foster; three granddaughters, Abee Puckett Chappell and her husband Phillip Neil Chappell, Shelley Foster (Justin Pruitt), and Haley Foster; three great-granddaughters, Neilie Carolina Chappell, Claire Thomas Chappell, and Maylin Foster Pruitt; her sister, Vera Steading Hollifield; and brothers, Johnny Steading and his wife Judy Steading, Bobby Steading and his wife Sandy Steading, and Doug Steading and his wife Cindy Steading, Kenneth Steading and his wife Elaine Steading. Mrs. Puckett was pre-deceased by a brother, JB Steading; and a sister, Virginia Steading Durham. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306, by the Rev. Larry Fleming and the Rev. Tom Moore. The family will receive friends, at the Chapel, immediately following the service. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
