Isabelle Halford

Isabelle Fraser Halford, 86, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born March 6, 1925, in Lawrence, MA, she was the wife of Dewey Halford, of the home. Isabelle retired from M&M Chevrolet and also worked at A&P Grocery. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, a long-time member of the choir, and founder of The Prime Timers Group. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Denise Watson of Spartanburg; and two grandchildren, Paige and Jonathan Watson of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2011 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 28, 2011, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert L. Brown and the Rev. Leslie F. Horvath. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 101 St. Matthews Lane, Spartanburg, SC 29301; or Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
