Irvin John Foster, Jr., 65, of Clinton, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Whitten Center. Born January 22, 1946, in Marion County, SC, he was the son of the late Irvin John Foster, Sr. and Gladys Shelley Foster. Johnny grew up in York, SC and moved at the age of 11 to Whitten Center where he spent the remainder of his life. Survivors include two sisters, Shelley Foster Crow and husband Wade of Spartanburg and Jeanie Foster Chamblee and husband Danny of Georgetown, SC; numerous nieces and nephews, Emily Crow Neely and husband Kam, W. Hampton Crow, Jean Crow Crowther and husband Joe, Hal Crow, Betsy Chamblee, Lillie Chamblee, and Helen Chamblee. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Walker Chamblee. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
