Iris Fincher

Iris Rose Houston Fincher, 82, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at White Oak Estates. Born July 1, 1928, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Herbert and Pearl Arlo Tucker Houston and wife of the late Clarence Edward Fincher. She owned and operated European Beauty Care in Spartanburg for 32 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Fincher Lehr and her husband Karl Fritz Lehr of Denton, NC; a grandson, Karcsi Fritz Lehr and his wife Amy Mills Lehr and their daughter, Ava Nichole Lehr all of Cary, NC; a granddaughter, Heidi Ilka Lehr Johnson and her children, Justin Sandor Johnson, Travis Morris Johnson, and London Karl Johnson all of Chapel Hill, NC; and brothers, Sam Houston of Spartanburg and Walter Houston of Inman. She was predeceased by a grandson, Latzi Sandor Lehr; sisters, Jennievieve Houston Cherry and Essie Mae Houston; and brothers, Herman and Thomas Houston. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Morgan. The family is at the home of her niece, Linda and Jim Pierce, 3161 Cedar Springs Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
