Irene E. Harmon Reeves, 98, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Born August 20, 1920 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lester Boyd Harmon and Bessie Tolleson Harmon and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was married for 59 years to the late Zack Reeves. Mrs. Reeves was a 1937 graduate of Pacolet High School, a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church, a Sunday School teacher, and a volunteer with Mobile Meals. She retired from Dritz-Scovill. She enjoyed working in her yard and especially loved her flowers (she was known for her beautiful flowers). Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Tammy Reeves of Moore; grandchildren, Lacey Lipe, Sherri Ragon (Hugh), Connie Sellers (Brandon), and Megan Reeves; great-grandchildren, Dylan Lipe, Madison Kimsey, Haley and Hudson Ragon, Drew, Brayden, and Ellison Sellers; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Danny Reeves; and two brothers, Lloyd "Guinea" and Earl Harmon. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Scott S. Gilmer. The family will receive friends following the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church, 7400 Lone Oak Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
