Irene Piperis Hartofilax, 59, of Lyman, SC, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital-Greenville, SC. Born March 6, 1957, in Spoa Karpathos, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Vasilios G. and Anna Anoussis Piperis. Mrs. Hartofilax was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and employed with The Clock Restaurant of Lyman. Survivors include her husband, Michael Chris Hartofilax; son, Chris Hartofilax (Kaliopi) of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Anna Tsabunieris (Vasilios) of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Eirini, Vassilia, and Mihali; brothers, George Piperis of Greece and Manoli Piperis of North Carolina; and a sister, Maria Hartofilax of Lyman, SC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM with the Trisagion service beginning at 7:30 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 24, 2016, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 697 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303, by the Rev. George F. Nayla. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, 173 Drace Ave., Greer, SC 29650.
