Irene Demarest

Irene Demarest, 79, of Inman, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at her home. Born November 13, 1931, in Butler, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Marion and Theresa Wyble Marion Fitzpatrick, and stepdaughter of Patrick Fitzpatrick. Irene was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a retired accounts representative for United National Bank. Survivors include her husband, Lester John Demarest of the home; her children, Keith Demarest and wife Lisa of Flemington, NJ, David Demarest and wife Carol of Galloway, NJ, Margaret Demarest Winch and husband William of Spartanburg, Patricia Bowker and husband William of West Grove, PA, Craig Demarest and wife Jean of Oak Ridge, NC, and Karen Wight and husband Marshall of Denver, NC; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Marion. Private services will be held.
