Idalene Branch

Idalene Shropshier Branch, 85, of Franklin, TN, died Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born February 7, 1927, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the widow of Dever L. Branch and daughter of the late Pliny H. and Beulah Mae Hughes Shropshier. Mrs. Branch was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and was formerly employed with Converse Mill and Spartan Food Service. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Branch Phillips (Roger) of Franklin, TN; granddaughter, Courtney R. Phillips of Columbia, SC; sisters, Madge McKinney Pettit of Spartanburg, SC, Gladys Kuester of Spartanburg, SC, and Carolyn Riddle of Katy, TX; and brother, P. H. Shropshier of Vance, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Harry Shropshier; and a sister, Vera Shropshier Wilson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2013, at St. Mark United Methodist Church, by the Rev. John Howle and the Rev. David Ervin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service in the church reception hall. Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 3055 E.
