Hubert Ruppe

Hubert Bryan Ruppe, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at his home. Born May 9, 1930, in Blacksburg, SC, he was the son of the late Burton Ruppe and Flossie Peeler Ruppe Murdock. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Ruppe was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church and retired from Spartan Mills. Surviving is his beloved wife of 65 years, Merle T. Ruppe; son, Bobby Eugene Ruppe (Caroline) of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, Stephen B. Ruppe of Missouri and Brooks S. Ruppe of Spartanburg, SC; and a sister, Merle Dean Rollins of Kettering, OH. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Randall B. Ruppe. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, May 30, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Steven McLain and the Rev. Rupert Guest. Burial will be in Spring Hill Memorial Gardens, 1011 S. Alabama Ave., Chesnee, SC 29323. Memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
