Horace "Buddy" H. Teague

Horace “Buddy” H. Teague, 86, of Inman, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at his home. He was born, July 18, 1937, in Woodruff, SC, the son of the late Johnson Hampton Teague and Jesse Lee Adams.

Horace was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country.

He was known as “Buddy”, “Uncle Buddy” and to his closest friends, “Lord Hampton”. He was an outdoorsman, who loved to fish and hunt. He was a very social man, who enjoyed sitting on the front porch talking with family and friend and waving at the neighbors as they passed by.

Horace wholeheartedly loved everyone and never hesitated to take care of others and willing to take people under his wing.

Horace is survived by his daughters, Teresa Wyatt (Butch) of Inman, Tracie Teague Mason (Greg) of Inman, Mandy Teague Austin (Jason), Haley Watford (Adam) of Moore; his son, Josh Stacey (Kelley) of Boiling Springs; his grandchildren, McKensie Revels, Chelsie Mason (Jon), Makalla Scott (Westyn), Gregory Fuller, Teagan Austin, Kaegan Stacey, Trace Fuller, Oakley Austin, Jackson Watford, Greyson Watford; his great grandchildren, Vai, Remi, Maebre and Hampton (due October 2023); his sisters, Hazel Bigham and Polly Dover; including numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Katelyn Hall; brothers, Leonard, Kenneth, and Bill; sisters, Mary, Martha and Audrey.

In honor of Horace, a Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 123 Venus St., Inman, SC 29349.
