Hilton Lowe

Hilton Carl Lowe, 72, of Spartanburg, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was born November 17, 1938 in Inman. He was the son of the late Carl Gibson and Lillie Mae Edmonds Lowe. Mr. Lowe was the retired owner/operator of H. C. Lowe Plumbing Co. after 35 years of service. He was a member of Parkway Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 10 years, Corrie Sue Thomas Lowe; a son, Robert Lowe (Debbie) of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Kathy Jones (Terry) of Roebuck; stepdaughters, Teresa Thomas (Jeff) of Pacolet Mills and Denise Burnitz (Mark) of Reidville; stepson, Ray Jewell (Stacy) of Chapin; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Kathleen Hill of Whitney. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Grizzle Lowe; and a sister, Wilma Martin. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by Pastor Mitchell Edge and Pastor Wes Murray. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or Parkway Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 3615 Parris Bridge Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
