Hershel Cobb

Hershel W. Cobb, 59, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at his home. Born August 30, 1952, in Gaffney, he was the son of the late A. B. and Edith Bible Cobb. Mr. Cobb was retired from Snyder Electric as a licensed electrician. A graduate of Gaffney High School, he was of the Baptist faith, loved fishing, football, and served in the National Guard for six years. Survivors include his loving wife, Sylvia Cobb; sons, Kevin Cobb and wife Beverly, Donnie Cobb, and Andy Cobb, all of Spartanburg; grandson, Brandon Cobb of Spartanburg; brother, Troy Cobb and wife Theresa of Gaffney; and stepsister, Lynn Johnson and husband Ernest of Pacolet. He was predeceased by brothers, Curtis and Raymond Cobb; sister, Robin Cobb; and stepsister, Frieda Brackins. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
