Hershel Anderson

Hershel Henry Anderson, 84, of 850 John B. White Sr. Blvd., formerly of Palmetto Farm Road, Pacolet, SC, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. Born November 15, 1925, in Stephens County, GA, he was the son of the late Paul and Ethel Moseley Anderson. He owned and operated a saw mill in Eastanollee, GA, and was a member of Tom's Creek Baptist Church in Martin, GA. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mildred Dickson Anderson; a daughter, Angela Anderson Brady Brown and her husband William of Royston, GA; a granddaughter, Amy Brady Sims and her husband Wayne of Augusta, GA; a sister, Ruth Aderholdt of Eastanollee, GA; and a brother, Lester "Andy" Anderson of Acworth, GA. He was predeceased by two sons, Dean and David Anderson; and a sister, Annie Mae Smith. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by Chaplain Don Carr.
