Herman O'Steen

Herman O'Steen "Papa Bobby", 88, of Pacolet, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 2, 1930, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late William Edward O'Steen and Era Wilkins O'Steen. Above all, Mr. O'Steen loved his family. He was an avid fisherman, antique bottle collector, champion gardener, and loved cats, especially his "Lake Murray Queen" Sweetie. He retired from Timken Company-Gaffney. Surviving are his daughters, Patti O'Steen and Debra O'Steen, both of Pacolet, SC; 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a great-grandson, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372, by The Rev. Frankie Taylor and The Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
