Henry Seay

Henry Marvin Seay, 82, of Columbus, NC and a longtime resident of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, October 2, 2017, at Autumn Care-Saluda, NC. Born December 23, 1934, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Bryan and Annie Hall Seay. Mr. Seay was owner/operator of Henry's Barber Shop in Spartanburg for many years and a member of United Presbyterian Church in Boiling Springs, SC. Survivors include his wife of nearly 59 years, Anne Montgomery Seay; daughters, Allison Scruggs (Tracy) of Rutherfordton, NC and Candace Seay Folks (Alan) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Johnathan Boswell (Laura) of San Antonio, TX and Brook Boswell of Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Owen Atkinson, Landon Boswell, and Jackson Boswell; and brothers, Baylis Seay of Boiling Springs, SC and Bryan Seay Jr. of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 5, 2017, in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3477 Bethlehem Rd., Blackstock, SC 29014. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
