Henry Repokis

September 14, 1925 — August 7, 2010

Henry "Hank" Repokis, of Spartanburg, SC, long time executive with Milliken & Company, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the age of 84. Mr Repokis was born in Detroit, MI in 1925, and was the son of the late Jacob W. and Mary Kissel Repokis. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he attended Duke University and Wayne State University receiving his degree in Chemical Engineering. He belonged to a number of professional organizations during his lifetime. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Charles Lea Center Foundation and a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marion Long Repokis; two sons, Mark Henry Repokis and wife Phyllis of Halifax, VA and Wesley Long Repokis and wife Tonya of Seneca, SC; a sister, Jennie Repokis Benesiuk and husband Bill of Taylors, SC; a brother, David Repokis and wife Lillian of Washington, MI; four cherished grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. His funeral service will be Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel at 11:00 A.M., conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Bill Adams with a Graveside service at 3:00 P.M. in the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson, SC.
