Henry Carl Coggins, 72, of 133 Maulden Street, died Saturday, September 5, 2009, at his home. Born May 14, 1937, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Jonah and Ida Seals Coggins. He owned and operated Hillcrest. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Clifton Masonic Lodge #215, and a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Wells Coggins; sx children, Sandra McNulty of Melborne, FL, Carla Bedenbaugh of Charleston, Robert Goodwin of Boiling Springs, Henry Coggins, Jr. of Pineville, LA, Jeffrey Goodwin of Gatlinburg, TN, and Elizabeth "Missy" Powell of Pauline; eighteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201. The family is at the home.
