Hellon Boyter

Hellon Orene Bragg Boyter, 91, formerly of Poplar Springs Community, died Saturday, August 22, 2015. Born June 12, 1924, in Kilgore Community of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Eva Yarborough Bragg. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Elwyn "Bud" Boyter. Miss Polly was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church for 63 years. She was a member of The Ruth Fellowship Sunday School Class, former Sunday School teacher of young children, and taught Vacation Bible School. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Boyter of the home; sisters, Ruby Bragg Waddell of Woodruff and Jackie Bragg Koon of Boiling Springs, SC; special sister in law, Ruth Boyter Mundy of Mt. Holly, NC; a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Private service and burial will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Rob White. Pallbearers will be Thomas A. Shapiro, Donald L. Shapiro, Ray Stevens, Carroll Genoble, Greg Boiter, and Roger Gulley. Honorary Escort will be The Ruth Fellowship Sunday School Class.
