Helen Foster

Helen Virginia Johnson Foster, 83, of Roebuck, SC, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at RoseCrest Retirement Community. Born January 14, 1935, in Roebuck, she was the daughter of the late Tom P. and Lottie Lee Johnson. A wonderful Godly woman who loved all people and her pets, Mrs. Foster was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she formerly served as Youth Director. She retired from Synalloy Corporation after 30 years of service. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, George Eugene Foster; brothers, Donnie Johnson (Dianne) of Cary, NC and Larry Johnson (Cynthia) of Columbia, SC; niece, Wanda Swinney (Larry) of Inman, SC; great-nephew, Justin Warlick (Sarah) of Spartanburg, SC; and her canine companions, Cindi and Heidi. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Gene Johnson. Visitation will be 2:00-2:50 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 797 Old Georgia Rd., Moore, SC 29369 with a service honoring her memory following at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Jim Oliver and The Rev. Joe Burnett. Private burial, in the church cemetery, will be at a later date.
