Helen Floyd

Helen L. Floyd died Friday, April 2, 2010. A native of York County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Calvin and Vermie Lackey Floyd. She was retired from Mayfair Mills, and a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. Survivors include one sister, Elizabeth Hoover and her husband James of Boiling Springs; a sister-in-law, Lajuan Floyd of Spartanburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Reba Turner and Hazel Floyd, and three brothers, Neil Floyd, Frank Floyd, and William Floyd, all of Spartanburg. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2010, at Sunset Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely and the Rev. Mike McGee. The family will receive friends at the gravesite immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 897 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Journey Hospice, 420 The Parkway, Suite N, Greer, SC 29651.
