Helen Edwards

Helen Edwards, 72, of 816 Battleground Road, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at her home. Born August 17, 1936, in Henderson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Sanford and Pearl Hollingsworth Crane. She was employed with Lemmons Farms in Gaffney for 15 years and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church of Cowpens. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Harold Dean Edwards, Sr.; two step-sons, Harold Dean Edwards, Jr., and Mark Douglas Edwards and his wife Karen, all of Cowpens; three grandchildren, Christa and Cayla Mabry, and Haley Edwards; two brothers, Robert Crane and his wife Sylvia of Cottageville, SC, and William B. Crane and his wife Tamra of Hendersonville, NC; and a sister, Sharon McCarson and her husband Leslie of Hendersonville, NC. She was predeceased by a son, Allen Gibson; two brothers, Cecil Crane and John E. Crane; and two sisters, Maxine Gilliand and Patricia Crane. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009, at Mountain View Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Steven Griffith.
